1994, last year of high school, we used to leave school with friends and wander around downtown. In a record store, I saw a CD with a pink cover and an icon of a satellite, with a very *unofficial design* and Helvetica Bold typography: U2 Zoo TV from Dublin. x2CD. I must have listened to it a thousand times. I know every nook and cranny by heart. I never thought I would also get to watch it. Thanks and watch more tv!

I was there front and center for this concert. I have this weird memory of a brief video on the big screen of a guy jumping around in a skirt with his dick flopping around. My friend and I seem to be the only people that noticed this because NO ONE ever mentions it. Please tell me someone else noticed!!

It's interesting to see the two most obvious POP singles in my book ("Gone" and "Do You Feel Loved") performed next to each other here-and neither one of them, of course, became singles, although "Gone" was considered for a single and DYFL was originally slated to be the second single (after "Discotheque"). This wasn't a great night for "Gone" (most nights it was much better), while DYFL mostly continued to improve here from its debut in Vegas. The biggest problem this night seems to have been Bono's voice. It's also interesting that Edge's "Dooown" backing vocal isn't here with "Gone." It would be present by the time of the Memorial Day DC show.
